Italian Meatballs Spaghetti (Bilingual Eng-Indonesia)

Just made this for quick lunch. Super delicious,  avoid using harmful tomato paste in tubes or tin can, just used fresh Roma tomato for the sauce. Here is the quick recipe for it.

(Teman-teman, ada yang doyan spaghetti pake bakso ala Italy dipadu saus tomat nya yang khas? Yuk bikin bareng-bareng buat makan malem besok. Sekalian pake saus tomat bikin sendiri, bakso buatan sendiri, tanpa pasta tomat instant.)

Ingredients:

Meatballs (baksonya):

  • 200 grams of ground beef (daging sapi giling)
  • 2/3 cup of bread crumbs (tepung roti/panir)
  • 1 egg (telur ayam)
  • 1/4 teaspoon of paprika powder (bubuk cab merah besar -tidak pedas)
  • salt and pepper (garam dan merica secukupnya)
  • 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon of Italian dried herbs mix (oregano, parsley, basil)
  • 2 garlic –> minced (bawang putih –> haluskan)

Steps:

  1. Mix together all of the ingredients. Form onto balls. (Campur rata semua bahan dan bentuk bola bola kecil.)
  2. Heat a pan on medium with oil for pan frying, pan fry the balls all together until cooked. Set aside. (Panaskan panci dengan api SEDANG, beri sedikit minyak, tumis semua bola-bola daging hingga matang. Sisihkan)

Sauce (sausnya):

  • 2 kg Roma tomatoes –> diced (tomat segar –> potong dadu kecil)
  • 3 garlic –> sliced (bawang putih –> iris tipis)
  • salt and pepper (garam dan merica)
  • 2-3 tsp of Italian dressing herbs mix(basil, parsley, oregano) (campuran parsley, basil, oregano kering)
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil (minyak zaitun)

Steps:

  1. Heat a pan on MEDIUM. (Panaskan wajan dengan api Medium.)
  2. Pour in olive oil and put in the garlic. Followed with tomatoes. Cook until the natural juice reduced (Tuang minyak zaitun dan masukkan bawang putih. Segera masukkan tomat. Masak hingga cairan tomat berkurang.)
  3. Keep on stirring the tomatoes until it’s bit dried (no more natural juice spotted). (Aduk-aduk tomat hingga cairan tomat habis.)
  4. Put in Italian herbs, salt and pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes, keep on stirring. (Masukkan campuran parsley, basil, oregano kering, aduk-aduk sambil dimasak 2 menit.)
  5. Turn off the stove and put the sauce on a bowl. Ready to serve with your fave pasta. (Matikan api dan pindahan saus ke sebuah mangkuk. Siap diolah bersama pasta favoritmu.)

Making the Pasta:

  1. Put in the meatballs into the sauce mix. Stir for 3 minutes on LOW. (Masukkan bola daging ke dalam saus tomat, tumis selama 3 menit dengan api KECIL.)
  2. Turn of the heat and serve the meatballs sauce on fresh cooked pasta. Enjoy (Matikan api dan sajikan saus bola daging dengan pasta yang baru matang. Selamat menikmati.)
