Yokohama Napolitan Pasta (Bilingual Eng-Indonesia)

Love this Ketchup Pasta so much! You read it right, this pasta recipe use good quality Tomato Ketchup for the sauce. Yet, I use half and half basic tomato sauce and tomato ketchup. It goes really good, try it soon.

(Yang ini namanya Pasta Yokohama Napolitan atau pasta Napolitan. Asal resepnya dari Jepang yang memang orang-orangnya cinta saus tomat botolan. Saus botolan yang digunakan pastikan yang bermutu baik.)

Yokohama Napolitan Pasta

Ingredients for Basic Pasta Sauce:

  • 2 kg Roma tomatoes –> diced (tomat segar –> potong dadu kecil)
  • 3 garlic –> sliced (bawang putih –> iris tipis)
  • salt and pepper (garam dan merica)
  • 2-3 tsp of Italian dressing herbs mix(basil, parsley, oregano) (campuran parsley, basil, oregano kering)
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil (minyak zaitun)

Steps:

  1. Heat a pan on MEDIUM. (Panaskan wajan dengan api Medium.)
  2. Pour in olive oil and put in the garlic. Followed with tomatoes. Cook until the natural juice reduced (Tuang minyak zaitun dan masukkan bawang putih. Segera masukkan tomat. Masak hingga cairan tomat berkurang.)
  3. Keep on stirring the tomatoes until it’s bit dried (no more natural juice spotted). (Aduk-aduk tomat hingga cairan tomat habis.)
  4. Put in Italian herbs, salt and pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes, keep on stirring. (Masukkan campuran parsley, basil, oregano kering, aduk-aduk sambil dimasak 5 menit.)
  5. Turn off the stove and put the sauce on a bowl. Ready to serve with your fave pasta. (Matikan api dan pindahan saus ke sebuah mangkuk. Siap diolah bersama pasta favoritmu.)

Basic Tomato Sauce

Ingredients for Yokohama Napolitan Pasta:

  • fresh cooked pasta (pasta –> masak sesuai petunjuk kemasan, tiriskan dan sisakan air rebusannya)
  • 3 tablespoon of olive oil (minyak zaitun)
  • some champignon mushroom –> sliced (jamur lancing –> iris tipis)
  • some bacon / beef sausage/ chicken sausage –> sliced (bacon/ sosis sapi/ sosis ayam –>iris sesuai selera)
  • some red/ green pepper –> cut long (paprika merah/ hijau –> potong panjang)
  • some onion –> sliced long (bawang bombay –> potong panjang)
  • 1/4 cup of Tomato Ketchup (saus tomat botolan)
  • 1/4 cup of Basic pasta sauce (saus pasta tomat)
  • salt and pepper (garam dan merica secukupnya)
  • 2 tablespoon of boiled water for cooking the pasta (air sisa rebusan pasta)

Steps:

  1. Heat a pan on MEDIUM. Pour in olive oil. Cook together the onion, mushroom, bacon/ sausage, and pepper until bit soft. (Panaskan wajan dengan api SEDANG. Tuang minyak zaitun, masak bersama bawang bombay, jamur, bacon/ sosis dan paprika hingga agak lemas.)
  2. Put in Tomato ketchup and basic pasta sauce. Put in pasta noodle, hot water, salt and pepper, and stir for 1 minute. (Masukkan saus tomat botolan dan saus pasta tomat. Masukkan pasta, air sisa rebusan pasta, garam dan merica, dan aduk rata selama 1 menit.)
  3. Remove the pasta onto the a plate and serve warm. (Pindahkan pasta pada sebuah piring dan sajikan hangat.)
