Sriracha Sauced Pork and Rice Cake (Bilingual Eng-Indonesia)

Just tried to formulate simple recipe tonight for dinner, super simple Sriracha Sauce Prk and Rice Cake. Sounds very much like the name of the dish reflected the remain things left on my fridge. Well, yes it is. Here is the simple recipe for it.

Ingredients:

  • 400 grams of pork –> cut chunk  (daging babi–> potong kotak)
  • salt and pepper (garam dan merica secukupnya)
  • 1 egg (telur ayam)
  • 1 cup of tapioca flour (tepung tapioka)
  • Oil for frying (minyak untuk menggoreng)

Sauce:

  • 50 ml of Sriracha sauce (saus sambal botolan)
  • 3 teaspoons of brown sugar (gula coklat/ brown sugar)
  • 1 teaspoon of oyster sauce (saus tiram)

Addition:

  • some rice cake –> steamed until bit tender (ttok –> kukus hingga empuk)

Steps:

  1. Season the pork with salt and pepper. Put in the egg and mix well. Put in the tapioca flour and deep fry the pork on MEDIUM. Drain the excess oil. Tiriskan)
  2. Heat another pan on MEDIUM, put in brown sugar, Sriracha sauce and oyster sauce. Mix well until the sugar melt. Put in the pork and rice cake. Mix well and serve warm. Aduk rata hingga gula larut. Masukkan daging goreng dan ttok nya. Aduk rata dan sajikan segera.)
