Korean Japcae (Sweet Potato Starch Noodle) Bilingual Eng-Indonesia

Try this one of Korean fave noodles, Sweet potato starch noodle. Only with simple ingredients and lots of veggies. Here is the recipe.

Ingredients:

  • grams of Dangmyun (potato starch noodle)
  • 3 garlic –> sliced (bawang putih –> iris tipis)
  • 1 onion –> sliced (bawang bombay –> iris korek)
  • 2 carrot –> cut matches (wortel –> potong korek)
  • 1 red pepper –> slice long (paprika merah –> iris panjang)
  • 1 yellow pepper –> slice long (paprika kuning –> iris panjang)
  • 1 green pepper –> slice long (paprika hijau –> iris panjang)
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce (kecap asin)
  • salt and pepper (garam dan merica)
  • some sesame seed (biji wijen)
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil (minyak goreng)

Steps:

  1. Boil the noodle in boiling water for 10 minutes or following instruction. Soak in cold water and drain. (Rebus mie sesuai petunjuk dan tiriskan, siram air daging dan tiriskan lagi.)
  2. Heat a pan in MEDIUM. Pour in vegetable oil and stir fry the garlic and onion until fragrant. (Panaskan wajan dengan api MEDIUM. Tuang minyak dan tunis bawang putih dan bawang bombay hingga harum.)
  3. Put in the peppers and carrot, stir fry until fragrant. (Masukkan wortel and paprika merah kuning hijau dan tumis hingga harm.)
  4. Put in the noodle and season with soy sauce, salt and pepper. (Masukkan mie dan bumbui dengan kecap asin, garam dan merica.)
  5. Stir fry for 5 minutes and move the noodle onto a plate. (Tumis selama 5 menit dan pindahkan mie di sebuah piring)
  6. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve warm. (Taburi biji wijen dan sajikan segera.)
