Veggie Poured Rice “Nasi Siram Sayur” (Bilingual Eng-Indonesia)

Feel free to use your favorite meat for this dish, here I used pork belly. This dish is super simple and quick to cook. Here is my simple recipe for Veggie Poured Rice.

(Teman-teman ini aku share resep bikin Nasi Siram Sayur yang nikmat ya di rumah. Cara masaknya tergolong cepat dan hasilnya mantap. Yuk, bikin bareng-bareng.)

Ingredients:

  • some steamed rice (nasi putih hangat)
  • 1 bundle of Chinese green cabbage –> cut (sawi hijau –> potong-potong)
  • 100 grams of pork –> cut (daging babi –> potong kecil)
  • 2 garlic –> bashed (bawang putih –> geprak)
  • 1 tomato –> wedge (tomat segar –> potong)
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce (kecap asin)
  • salt and pepper (garam dan merica)
  • some sugar (gula sesuai selera)
  • 100 ml of boiling water (air mendidih)
  • green onion –> sliced (bawang prei –> iris tipis)
  • 1 tablespoon of oil (minyak)
  • some starch water (potato starch + water) (air kanji)

Steps:

  1. Place the rice in a plate. (Letakkan nasi pada sebuah piring.)
  2. Mix together the pork and soy sauce. Set aside. (Campur babi dengan kecap asin. Sisihkan)
  3. Heat the pan on HIGH. (Panaskan wajan dengan api BESAR)
  4. Pour in oil and stir fry the garlic until fragrant. (Tuang minyak dan tumis bawang putih hingga harum.)
  5. Put in pork and sauce and stir fry until the pork cooked. (Masukkan daging babi dan kecap, tumis hingga daging matang.)
  6. Put in the green cabbage and and season with salt, pepper, and sugar. Pour in boiling water and bring to boil. (Masukkan sawi hijau dan bumbui dengan garam, merica dan gula. Tuang air mendidih dan didihkan.)
  7. Pour in starch water and stir fry to preferred consistency. Put in the tomato and green onion, and mix well. Turn off the heat. (Tuang air kanji dan kentalkan sesuai selera sambil diaduk. Masukkan potongan tomat serta bawang prei dan aduk sebentar. Matikan api.)
  8. Pour the veggie over the rice and serve warm (Tuang tumisan sayur keatas nasi dan sajikan segera.)
