Spicy Scallops “Scallop Pedas” (Bilingual Eng-Indonesia)

Here is super simple recipe for you seafood lover everywhere. Super easy to make and super yummy. Can be served with your fave carbo, from boiled potato to warm steamed rice. Here we go!

(Teman-teman, ini aku bikin Scallop Pedes yang simple banget di rumah. Kalo masak beginian aku yakin semua bisa, cocok untuk kejutan kecil buat keluarga atau orang-orang tercinta. Yuk, bikin bareng-bareng!)



  • 300 grams of scallop (scallop)
  • 3 garlic –> bashed (bawang putih –> geprak)
  • 4 small shallots –> sliced (bawang merah –> iris tipis)
  • 1 onion –> sliced thin (bawang bombay –> iris tipis)
  • 1 tomato –> cut chunks (tomat segar –> potong kotak)
  • 2 green jalapeño –> slice thin (cabe hijau besar –> iris tipis)
  • 3 Thai Chili –> sliced (cabe rawit –> potong)
  • 2 green onions –> sliced (bawang prei –> iris tipis)
  • 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce (saus tiram)
  • salt and pepper (garam dan merica)
  • sugar (gula pasir)
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil (minyak sayur)


  1. Heat a pan on HIGH. Pour in vegetable oil. (Panaskan wajan dengan api BESAR. Tuang minyak sayur.)
  2. Stir fry the garlic, shallot and onion until fragrant. (Tumis bawang putih, bawang merah dan bawang bombay hingga harum.)
  3. Put in the green jalapeño and Thai chili. Stir well (Masukkan cabe hijau besar, cabe rawit, dan aduk rata.)
  4. Put in the scallops and cook for 2 minutes. (Masukkan scallop dan masak selama 2 menit.)
  5. Season with oyster sauce, salt, pepper and sugar (Bumbui dengan saus tiram, garam, merica dan gula pasir.)
  6. Put in the tomato and green onion, and stir well for seconds. (Masukkan tomat dan bawang prei, aduk rata selama beberapa detik saja.)
  7. Serve immediately. (Sajikan segera)
