Braised Eggs “Pindang Telur” (Bilingual Eng-Indonesia)

Braised Eggs (Pindang Telur)

  • 5 eggs –> boiled for 10 minutes (telur ayam –> rebus selama 10 menit)
  • 3 garlic –> bashed (bawang putih –> geprak)
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce (kecap asin)
  • 3 tablespoons of sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
  • 500 ml of chicken stock (kaldu ayam)
  • salt and pepper (garam dan merica)



  1. Peel the boiled egg. (Kupas telur rebusnya.)
  2. Stir fry the garlic with vegetable oil until fragrant. (tunis bawang putih hingga harum)
  3. Put in the soy sauce and sweet sauce. (Masukkan kecap asin dan kecap manis.)
  4. Pour in the chicken stock. (Tuang kaldu ayamnya)
  5. Boil it. (Didihkan)
  6. Put in the egg and boil for another 5 minutes. (Masukkan telur rebus dan masak selama 5 menit.)
