Key Lime Chicken “Ayam Jeruk Nipis”

One of my fave style in cooking : deep frying and sauce mix. Try this super fresh, yummy, addicting chicken soon in your kitchen!

(Teman-teman, bikin ayam Jeruk Nipis yuk, rasanya segar banget, cocok disajikan kapanpun. Yuk, cobain bareng-bareng.)

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams of chicken breast –> diced (daging ayam –> potong dadu)
  • 1 egg –> beat (telur ayam –> kocok lepas)
  • some tapioca flour (tepung tapioka)
  • some oil for frying (minyak untuk menggoreng)
  • some chopped green onion (daun bawang iris)

Marinade Sauce (bumbu rendaman):

  • salt and pepper (garam dan merica secukupnya)
  • 2 tablespoons of key lime juice (perasan jeruk nipis)

Sauce (sausnya):

  • 3 tablespoons of soy sauce (kecap asin)
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar (gula pasir)
  • 6 tablespoons of key lime juice (perasan jeruk nipis)
  • 2 tablespoons of Mirin (arak masak Jepang)
  • 2 tablespoons of honey (madu)

Steps:

  1. Marinade the chicken in a marinade sauce for 1 hour in fridge. (Rendam ayam dalam bumbu rendaman selama 1 jam dalam lemari es.)
  2. Take out the chicken from fridge, put in beaten egg and mix well. (Keluarkan ayam dari lemari es dan beri telur ayam, aduk rata.)
  3. Heat pan with enough oil to deep fry the chicken. (Panaskan wajan dengan minyak di dalamnya untuk menggoreng ayam.)
  4. Drag the chicken on tapioca flour evenly. (Baluri ayam dengan tapioka secara merata.)
  5. Deep fry the chicken (Goreng ayamnya)
  6. Heat a pan in medium, stir fry the sauce until thicken. (Panaskan wajan dengan api medium, tumis bumbu hingga agak kental.)
  7. Put in the chicken into the sauce and mix well. (Masukkan ayam dan aduk rata.)
  8. Sprinkle with green onion and serve. (Taburi dengan daun bawang dan sajikan.)

    masakan favorit keluarga kita nih, cuma biasanya kita tambahin potongan cabe dan daun ketumbar ke saus nya 🙂
