Pork Short Ribs & Pickled Bok Choy Soup with Tofu “Sup Baikut Sayur Asin Tahu” (Bilingual Eng-Indonesia)

This soup is usually served together with pork dish such as roasted pork or BBQ pork. Good accompany for pork skewers too. Here is the recipe for it!

(Teman-teman, ini aku share resep untuk bikin Sup Baikut Sayur asin tahu ya. Cara bikinnya gampang, cuman tinggal di rebus aja, pastikan proses merebus sempurna dan sesuai langkah-langkahnya supaya daging yang menempel di tulang baikut empuk sempurna sementara sara sup menjadi rich dengan aroma sayur asin dan tahu. yuk, bikin bareng-bareng!)

Pork short ribs & pickled bok choy with tofu "Baikut sayur asin tabu" (Bilingual Eng-Indonesia)

Ingredients:

– 500 grams of pork shot ribs (baikut babi/ iga babi)

– 1 package of pickled Bok Choy –> washed and cut medium size (sayur asin sebungkus –> cuci dan potong sedang)

– 300 grams of tofu –> cut cubes (tabu –> potong kotak)

– 2 liter of water (air putih)

– 100 grams of daikon radish –> peeled and cut big chunks (lobak putih –> kupas dan potong kotak besar)

– 3 cloves of garlic –> bashed (bawang putih –> geprek)

– 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil (minyak sayur)

– salt (garam)

Steps:

1. Heat a big pot in MEDIUM, pour in the oil and stir fry the garlic when the oil is hot enough. Stir fry until fragrant.

(Panaskan panci besar dengan api MEDIUM, tuang minyak sayur dan jika minyak sudah panas tumis bawang putih hingga harum. )

2. Put in the ribs and daikon radish and mix well, pour in the water too.

(Masukkan iga/baikut dan potongan lobak putih dan aduk rata, tuang air kedalamnya.)

3. Boil the pork ribs in the water in a big pot on medium for about 1 hour or until the ribs soft.

(Rebus iga/ baikut dalam air dalam panci besar dengan api medium selama 1 jam atau hingga baikut empuk.)

4. After 1 hour, take put the daikon from the soup, put in the pickled bok choy and tofu. Season with salt. Boil for another 10 minutes. Set aside for at least 4 hours off the stove before serving.

(Setelah 1 jam, keluarkan dan buang lobak putih dari panci, masukkan sayur asin dan tahu. Beri garam secukupnya. Rebus lagi selama 10 menit. Sisihkan dari kompor dan diamkan setidaknya 4 jam sebelum disajikan, boleh juga disimpan dalam lemari es dan disajikan keesokan harinya untuk rasa yang lebih kuat.)
