Korean Sundubu Jigae “Spicy Tofu Stew” (Bilingual Eng-Indonesian)

This is my own style of Sundubu Jigae, love this dish very much. Basically it’s soft tofu stew in spicy chili soup base and got some leek and kimchi inside. Very good for winter and cold weather. Here is the simple recipe.

(Teman-teman, ini aku share resep bikin sundubu Jigae, masakan sup khas Korea yang berupa sup lombok pedas diisi tahu halus. Gunakan tahu kualitas baik untuk hidangan ini. Aku beri Kimchi dan bawang prei serta potongan jamur di dalamnya. Cocok untuk hidangan saat musim hujan atau musim dingin. Yuk, cobain)

Korean Sundubu Jigae "Spicy Tofu Stew" (Bilingual Eng-Indonesian)

Ingredients: (1 portion –> big bowl)

– 300 grams of soft tofu –> cut cubes (tahu halus –> potong kotak)

– 2 large Champignon mushrooms –> slice thick (jamur Champignon secukupnya –> potong tebal)

– 2 cloves of garlic –> bashed (bawang putih –> geprek)

– 1 medium onion –> sliced thin (bawang bombay –> iris tipis)

– 500 ml of chicken stock (kaldu ayam)

– 2 tablespoons of Korean Gojujang (Red Pepper Paste)

– 1 teaspoon of Cheyenne pepper flakes (lombok merah giling)

– 1 leek –> cut chunk (bawang peri –> potong besar)

– salt and pepper (garam dan merica secukupnya)

– 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil (minyak sayur)

Steps:

In a pot, heat the vegetable oil in medium heat. Stir fry the garlic and onion until fragrant. Put in the mushroom and stir fry for 2 minutes. Pour in the Stock and season with salt and pepper. Put in Korean Gojujang and Cheyenne pepper flakes. Bring it to boil, then put in the tofu and bring it to boil again for 5-8 minutes. Put in the leek and serve on a big bowl. Enjoy (Panaskan sebuah panci dengan api medium. Tuang minyak sayur dan tumis bawang dan bawang bombay hingga harum. Masukkan jamur dan aduk rata selama 2 menit. Tuangkan kaldu ayam dan bumbui dengan garam dan merica. Masukkan Gojujang dan cabe giling. Rebus hingga mendidih lalu masukkan tahu halus, didihkan lagi hingga 5-8 menit. Masukkan potongan bawang prei dan pindahkan hidangan dalam sebuah mangkuk. Sajikan dan selamat menikmati!)
