Simple Sausage and Egg Fried Rice “Nasi Goreng Sosis Telur” (Bilingual Eng-Indonesia)

In Indonesia we serve this often for breakfast, but of course it can really go for lunch or dinner. You won’t need lot of meat for this recipe, just couple of sausages and eggs. (TIPS: try to use rice cooker to cook the rice well, never use just cooked rice for making fried noodle, it will be really sticky and soggy. The fried rice should be light and you can see the grain of the rice easily. Better use the day before left over rice for the best result.)

(Teman-teman ini aku share resep bikin nasi goreng sosis dan telur yang simple untuk sarapan atau makan kapanpun di rumah. Nasi goreng sosis dan telur ini gampang bikinnya, pastikan kita gunakan nasi yang tidak lembek untuk membuat nasi goreng. Nasi sisa makan malam hari sebelumnya juga boleh digunakan untuk membuat nasi goreng. Yuk, ini resepnya!)

Simple Sausage and Egg Fried Rice “Nasi Goreng Sosis Telur” (Bilingual Eng-Indonesia)

Ingredients:

  • 300 grams of rice (nasi)
  • 2 sausages à cut small (I use Elk organic sausage) (sosis sesuai selera –> potong dadu kecil)
  • 2 eggs à beat (telur ayam –> kocok lepas)
  • 3 clove of garlic à bashed (bawang putih –> geprek)
  • 1 onion –> chopped (bawang bombay)
  • 1 large carrot à peeled and cut tiny dice (wortel besar –> kupas dan potong dadu kecil)
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil (minyak sayur)
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce (kecap asin)
  • 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce (saus tiram)
  • ½ tablespoons of white sugar (gula pasir)
  • salt and pepper (garam dan merica)
  • leek for garnish (bawang prei untuk pelengkap)

Steps:

  1. Heat big pan on HIGH heat. The pour in the vegetable oil and stir-fry the garlic and onion until fragrant. Put in the egg and keep on stirring until it’s cooked well. Put in the sausages, carrot and mix well. Cook until the carrot is little bit soft and sausage cooked. (Panaskan wajan besar dengan api BESAR. Tumis bawang putih dan bawang bombay hingga harum. Masukkan telur kocok dan aduk rata hingga matang. Masukkan sosis dan wortel iris dan aduk rata lagi. Masak hingga wortel sedikit empuk dan sosis matang.)
  2. Put in the rice and stir well. Season with soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, salt and pepper. Cook for only for 2 minutes. Lift the rice onto a plate and garnish with leek. Serve immediately. (Masukkan mie dan aduk rata. Bumbui dengan kecap asin, saus tiram, gula pasir, garam dan merica. Masak selama 2 menit dan segera pindahkan nasi dalam sebuah pinggan/ piring besar. Bubuhkan potongan bawang prei dan sajikan segera.)
