Crispy Bacon on Fried Red Rice “Nasi Goreng Nasi Merah dan Bacon” (Bilingual Eng-Indonesia)

Not just ordinary fried rice, this time I used Bhutanese Red Rice instead of common white rice. I cooked it in the rice cooker and let it cool completely before frying. Here is the complete recipe.

(Teman-teman, ini aku share resep membuat nasi goreng plus Bacon garing kriuk sendiri di rumah. Bedanya hari ini aku pakai beras merah untuk nasi gorengnya, dan rasanya enak juga. Bacon dimasak terpisah dari nasi goreng. Yuk, cobain bareng-bareng!)

Crispy Bacon on Fried Red Rice "Nasi Goreng Beras Merah dan Bacon"

Ingredients:

  • 350 grams of cooked red rice (cool it completely hours before frying) (nasi merah à dinginkan sempurna beberapa jam sebelum digoreng)
  • 10 strips of bacon (bacon)
  • 2 cloves of garlic à bashed (bawang putih)
  • 1 large carrot –> peeled and sliced thin (wortel–> kupas dan iris tipis)
  • 1 leek –> sliced small (bawang prei –> iris kecil)
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce (kecap asin)
  • 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce (saus tiram)
  • salt and pepper (garam dan merica)
  • 2 tablespoons of olive/ vegetable oil (minyak zaitun/minyak sayur)

Steps:

  1. Heat NON STICK/ TEFAL pan on medium heat. Place in bacon on by one and pan fry them until crisp and brown. Place the bacon on paper towel and tap gently to remove the excess fat. Set aside. (Panaskan Teflon/ wajan anti lengket dengan api medium. Letakkan bacon satu persatu dalam wajan dan biarkan mongering dan kecoklatan. Letakkan bacon diatas tissue kering. Lap bersih dan perlahan tepuk-tepuk bacon untuk menghilangkan lemak/minyak berlebihnya. Sisihkan.)
  2. Heat big pan on HIGH heat. The pour in the vegetable oil and stir-fry the garlic until fragrant. Put in the carrot and mix well. Cook until the carrot is little bit soft. (Panaskan wajan besar dengan api BESAR. Tumis bawang putih hingga harum. Masukkan wortel iris dan aduk rata lagi. Masak hingga wortel sedikit empuk.)
  3. Put in the rice and stir well. Season with soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt and pepper. Put in the leek and mix well. Cook for only for 2 minutes. Lift the rice onto a plate and garnish with the crispy bacon. Serve immediately. (Masukkan nasi dan aduk rata. Bumbui dengan kecap asin, saus tiram, garam dan merica. Masukkan potongan bawang prei dan aduk rata. Masak selama 2 menit dan segera pindahkan nasi dalam sebuah pinggan/ piring besar. Letakkan bacon garing diatas nasi dan sajikan segera.)
