Almond Nutella Baklava (Bilingual Eng-Indonesia)

Making Baklava for the very first time. Love this one of Turkish delights. Yum yum yum..It was very simple since I used phyllo dough instead of making the dough my self. Here is the way.

(Teman-teman, ini aku share resep bikin Baklava sendiri di rumah. Baklava ini adalah salah satu makanan pencuci mulut kesayangan orang Turki yang telah mendunia. Rasanya krius krius dipadu sama manisnya sirup gula dan biasanya berisi kacang-kacangan. Ini kali pertama aku bikin Baklava, nggak bikin adonan kulitnya sendiri, tapi pake Phyllo dough yang biasa di jual di supermarket. Di sini (Germany) disebut Srteuselteig. Bisa dicari di supermarket import. Cocok untuk kudapan saat Lebaran atau menyambut tamu di rumah. Bikinnya cuman 10 menit aja, lalu dimasukkan Oven selama 50 menit. Aku pake Loyang ukuran 19×22. Yuk, cobain!)

Almond Nutella Baklava

Ingredients:

  • 350 grams of Phyllo dough (cut the dough sheet according to the size of your pan) (Potong-potong kulit adonan dengan menggunakan pisau sesuai ukuran loyang.)
  • 3-4 tablespoons of Nutella
  • 150 grams of Sliced Almond (almond irisan tipis)
  • ½ cups of water (air putih)
  • ½ cups of white sugar (gula pasir)
  • ¾ cups of melted butter (butter dicairkan kisaran 175 ml)

Steps:

  1. Preheat the oven to 175 C. (Panaskan oven hingga 175 C.)
  2. Brush thin coat of melted butter on the bese of the baking pan. (Oles dasar baking pan dengan lelehan butter.)
  3. Lay the first 5 sheets (one by one) of Phylo sheet on the baking pan, then lightly brush the top with melted butter again. Repeat to another 5 sheets and start to spread the Nutella on the top of it followed with sliced almond evenly. (Letakkan 5 lembar (satu per satu) Phylo dough dalam pan dan olesi permukaan atasnya dengan lelehan butter tipis tipis lagi. Letakkan 5 lembar lagi dan oleskan Nutella secara merata diikuti dengan menaburkan Almond iris secara merata.)
  4. Lay the next 5 sheets and brush again the top with melted butter. Lay the last 5 sheets and cut the sheets the size and shape you like (could be square or rectangle)(Letakkan lagi 5 lembar Phylo dan olesi dengan lelehan butter. Letakkan 5 lembar Phylo terakhir dan potong lembaran Phylo dalam pan dengan ukuran dan bentuk sesuai selera (boleh kotak persegi atau persegi panjang))
  5. Heat the butter again on the stove until it’s bit hot. It should be HOT when you pour it on the cut dough. Remove all of the curd on the butter gently. The butter should be clean from any curd. (Panaskan butter kembali diatas api/ microwave. Berikutnya butter PANAS akan dituang di permukaan lembaran Phylo yang telah dipotong-potong. Pastikan butter dalam keadaan panas saat dituang. Buang semua lemak berwarna putih kekuningan yang muncul saat butter dipanaskan. Pastikan butter bersih dari lemak.)
  6. Pour the HOT butter on the surface of the Phylo dough evenly. Then bake the dough in the oven for 50 minutes. (Tuangkan butter PANAS diatas permukaan lembaran Phylo yang telah dipotong-potong secara merata. Panggang adonan selama 50 menit atau hingga kecoklatan.)
  7. After it’s baked well. Take out the Baklava from the oven the cool it bit for 10 minutes. (Setelah terpanggang rata keluarkan Baklava dari oven dan dinginkan sebentar selama 10 menit.)
  8. Heat a saucepan with sugar and water inside. Bring it to boil and the until the sugar dissolved while stirring it gently. Take the pan off the stove before the the syrup become brown, the syrup should be clear. (Panaskan panci kecil dengan gula pasir dan air didalamnya. Panaskan hingga gula larut dan sirup. Segera angkat dari api sebelum sirup berubah menjadi kecoklatan, sirup harus bening.)
  9. Pour the syrup on the surface of the Baklava, you can pour all of it or redice the amount of the syrup however you like. Let the Baklava cool completely before serving. Enjoy! (Tuangkan sirup gula pada permukaan Baklava, sirup boleh dituang sesuai selera, boleh dikurangi jika kurang suka manis. Biarkan Baklava mendingin sempurna sebelum disajikan. Selamat menikmati!)
