Steamed Chicken “Ayam Kukus” (Bilingual Eng-Indonesia)

Another comfort dish you used to find in a Chinese Restaurant. It’s very easy to prepare and with premium soy sauce you’ll enjoy savory, juicy soft chicken. Please enjoy!

(Teman-teman, ini aku share resep bikin ayam kukus khas restoran China yang lembut, emputk, plus sedap. Usahakan pakai kecap asin yang baik supaya lebih enak. Yuk, Cobain bareng-bareng!)

Steamed Chicken "Ayam Kukus"

Ingredients:

– 500 grams of chicken –> don’t cut (ayam –> jangan dipotong¬†dull)

– 3 tablespoons of soy sauce (kecap asin)

– 1 chunk of ginger –> sliced thin (jahe –> diiris korek)

– 1,5 litre of water for steaming (air putih untuk mengukus)

Sauce (sausnya):

– some soy sauce (kecap asin)

– some garlic –> chopped (bawang putih –> cacah kecil)

– some chili pepper –> cut small (lombok/cabe kecil –> potong kecil)

Steps:

1. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce and ginger. Put in the chicken and rub the chicken with the marinade sauce generously. Marinade and cover with plastic wrap and put in a fridge for 1 hour.

(Dalam sebuah mangkuk, campur bersama kecap asin dan jahe potong. Masukkan ayam dan urapi ayam dengan kecap dan jahe secara merata. Rendam dan tutup mangkuk dengan plastik dan masukkan dalam lemari es selama 1 jam.)

2. Boil the water in a steamer on medium heat. St the chicken for 30 minutes or until cooked well.

(Rebus air dalam pengukus/dandang dengan api medium. Kukus ayam selama 30 menit atau hingga matang seluruhnya.)

3. Mix 2 tablespoon of soy sauce and 1 teaspoon of chopped garlic, sprinkle with some chili pepper.

(Campur bersama 2 sendok makan kecap asin, 1 sendok teh bawang putih cacah dan taburi dengan potongan cabe kecil.)

4. Turn off the stove and take out the chicken. Cut the way you like using a cleaver. Serve with the sauce. Ready to be eaten with steamed rice. Yum.

(Matikan kompor dan keluarkan ayam perlahan. Potong menurut selera dengan menggunakan pisau daging. Sajikan bersama sausnya. Makan bersama nasi putih hangat…yummm)
