Beef Meatballs and Crab Stick soup

Ingredients:

For the Meatballs (Adonan bakso):

– 500 grams of ground beef (daging sapi giling)

– 3 tablespoons of corn/potato starch/ tapioca (tepung kanji)

– 2 cloves of garlic –> minced (bawang putih dihaluskan)

– 3 egg white (putih telur ayam)

– 1 egg yolk (kuning telur)

– 1/2 teaspoon of salt (garam)

– 1/8 teaspoon of pepper (merica bubuk)

For the Soup (Kuah Bakso):

– 3 litres of water (air putih 3 liter)

–  2 cloves of garlic –> bashed (2 buah bawang putih dikeprek)

– 1/2 tablespoon of salt (garam)

– 1/4 teaspoon of pepper (merica bubuk)

– some parsley (peterseli)

– Some leek  –> cut onto small (daun bawang secukupnya)

– Some fried/ roasted onions (bawang goreng secukupnya)

– 6 crab sticks (crabstick)

Steps:

1. Preheat one medium pot with 3 liters of water inside. Just keep it shimmer, not boiled.

(Panaskan panci ukuran sedang dengan diisi 3 liter air didalamnya, jangan biarkan mendidih, cukup panas saja.)

2. Mix together the all of the ingredients in a big bowl.

(Campur bersama seluruh bahan dalam sebuah mangkuk besar.)

3. Blend the meat using blender for 10 seconds or more until it’s pale and soft.

4. Take 2 spoons, scoop one tablespoon of meat and form a ball with the help of another spoon.

5. Put in the meatballs slowly into shimmering water (NOT BOILING) and wait until the meatballs float on the surface of the water.

6. Meanwhile, make the soup by putting 2 cloves of garlic, 1/2 tablespoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of pepper, and some parsley into the water.

6. Turn on the heat to boil the soup, when all of the meatball float. Put in the crab sticks and let it boil for another 7-8 minutes.

7. Take the meatballs out of the soup and put them in a clean bowl, closed with lid.

8. Serve the meatball by putting meatballs, crab sticks, leek and fried onions, poured with some hot soup. Serve hot!!

(Sajikan bakso bersama crab stick, daun bawang dan bawang goreng disiram sup nya yang panas. Sajikan panas-panas!)
