Beancurd Sheet Soup “Sup Kembang Tahu” (Bilingual Eng-Indonesia)

Another soup recipe from my kitchen, this is Beancurd sheet soup. You can always find the beancurd sheets in Asian Market everywhere. It’s usually packed dry and hard, so before cooking we have to soak them in room temperature water. The soup was light, you don’t even need to put salt on it (I love the flavor of true natural stock) and of course this is very safe for kids. Less sodium. Here is the recipe.

(Teman-teman, ini aku share resep untuk bikin sup Kembang Tahu sendiri di rumah. Bahan-bahan yang dibutuhkan sederhana, yang pasti supnya ngaldu banget, bahkan nggak ditambah garam dan merica pun sudah enak banget, sedap pula untuk hidangan si kecil. Aku pake iga babi, silahkan ganti daging atau iga lainnya bila ingin. Dan silahkan tambahkan garam dan merica jika ingin (aku suka yang rasa asli kaldu tanpa garam). Yuk, cobain..)

Beancurd Sheet soup "sup kembang tahu"

Ingredients:

– 200 grams of dried Beancurd sheets –> soak in water for 1 hour (kembang tahu kering –> rendam dalam air selama 1 jam)

– 200 grams of pork ribs (iga babi –> boleh juga diganti daging lain)

– 3 cloves of garlic –> bashed (bawang putih –> geprek)

– 1 onion –> cut chunk (bawang bombay –> potong kotak)

– 2 litre of water (air putih)

– 1 leek –> cut long (bawang prei –> potong panjang)

– some parsley (peterseli)

Steps:

1. In a pot, boil the water along with the garlic, onion, leek, ribs, and parsley. Boil for 1 hour on medium heat.

(Isi sebuah panci dengan air putih, bawang putih, bawang bombay, bawang prei, iga, dan peterseli. Rebus selama 1 jam dengan api medium.)

2. Take the beancurd out of the water and drain the excess water from it well. Cut square or the size you want and set aside.

(Keluarkan kembang tahu dari air dan tiriskan hingga hampir kering. Potong sesuai selera dan sisihkan.)

3. After 1 hours, take the discharged fat and excess from the bones floating on the soup. Put in the cut beancurd sheet and cook for another 30 minutes.

(Setelah 1 jam, ambil semua gumpalan lemak/ minyak dari permukaan sup. Masukkan kembang tahu potongan dan rebus selama 30 menit lagi.)

3. Serve the soup warm in a bowl complete with the bean curd sheets and ribs. Yum.

(Sajikan sup lengkap dalam sebuah mangkuk lengkap dengan kembang tahu dan iganya. Kuahnya cocok untuk anak bayi diatas 7 bulan, karena tanpa GARAM pun enak.)

    ce..ini ngrebus nya gak usah tunggu mendidih ya..jadi smua dijadiin satu panci trus di rebus ya,ce.?

      Hai Julia, iya asal udah direndam kulit tahunya pasti empuk, iya airnya boleh mendidih dulu, lalu masukkan kembang tahunya. Semoga cocok ya.
