Almond Crispy Cookies (Bilingual Eng-Indonesia)

Today made these crispy crunchy thin almond cookies. Super simple ingredients and need no mixer. Here is the recipe!

Thin Almond Cookies

Ingredients:

– 2 eggs (telur ayam)

– 100 grams of white sugar (gula pasir)

– 40 grams of cake flour (tepung terigu untuk buat CAKE)

– 125 grams of sliced almond (almond irisan)

– some vegetable oil (minyak goreng bersih)

Steps:

1. Beat the eggs in a bowl using a fork, just beat slightly, don’t try to make it foamy.

(Kocok telur dalam sebuah mangkuk dengan garpu, jangan dikocok terlalu kencang, jangan sampai telur berbusa, cukup tercampur saja.)

2. Mix the egg with sugar and beat again only until they are mixed. Put in the flour and mix again well.

(Campur telur dengan gula pasir hingga tercampur saja, bukan berbusa. Masukkan tepung untuk cake dan aduk rata.)

3. Put in the almond slices and mix again for couple seconds. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

4. Preheat the oven to 12O C. Lay a baking paper on baking tray and take a kitchen towel and slightly swap on vegetable oil on the surface of the baking paper, do not brush the oil using kitchen/rubber brush, use the tissue or kitchen towel.

5. Take out the bowl from the fridge, take 1 teaspoon of egg almond mix and slightly pour it on the baking paper forming SUPER THIN round shape, place more almond on the surface of the egg to prevent the egg from separating from each other. Give some space around 2 cm among the egg almond mix. Bake them in the oven for about 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.

6. Take the cookies out of the pan with the baking paper still attached. Put them in a cooling rack and let them cool completely, you can slighly peel the baking paper easily after the cookie got harden and dry cool. Place in a jar as you like or directly give them bites…
