Almond Fried Meatballs “Bakso Goreng Almond”(Bilingual Eng-Indo)

As a meatballs lover, I often make them for dinner. There are many types of meatball coming from all over the world’s kitchens. This one is one of my fave. Simple pork meatballs covered with almond flakes and deep fried in vegetable oil. Goes really good with steam rice or potato. Can be together with many sauce you like. Give it a try then!

(Teman-teman ini aku share resep untuk bikin bola daging lapis almond ya. Biasanya menu ini muncul kalo pas kita mana dim sum. Ini aku pake resep sendiri dengan bahan yang ada di rumah. Rasa nya enak banget apalagi ditambah sensasi kriuk almond nya yang kacaang banget. Yuk, cobain!)

Almond Fried Meatballs

Ingredients:

– 300 grams of ground pork/ beef (daging babi giling–> bisa juga diganti sapi)

– 2 tablespoons of soy sauce (kecap asin)

– 2 cloves of garlic –> minced (bawang putih haluskan)

– 3 eggs –> beaten (telur ayam –> kocok)

– 2 tablespoons of potato/corn starch/ tapioca (tepung kanji/ tapioka)

– 2 leeks –> chopped (bawang prei –> cacah kecil)

– salt and ground black pepper (garam dan merica secukupnya)

– 1-2 eggs for coating (telur untuk melapisi bola dating)

– some almond flakes (irisan almond)

– vegetable oil for frying (minyak goreng)

Steps:

1. Mix together the meat, soy sauce, garlic, eggs, salt and pepper starch using clean hand. Mix and squeeze the meat well until all of the ingredients combined for about 5 minutes squeezing.

(Campur daging giling, kecap asin, bawang putih, telur, garam dan merica, serta tepung kanji/tapioka dengan tangan bersih. Aduk dan remas remas daging hingga semua bahan dan bumbu merata, kurang lebih selama 5 menit. )

2. Put in the chopped leek and mix again well. Take 1 tablespoon of meat and form onto a ball. Repeat until all of the meat transformed to balls. Set aside.

(Masukkan cacahan bawang prei dan aduk rata lagi. Ambil satu sendok makan daging dan bentuk menjadi bola. Ulangi hingga daging habis.)

3. Heat the deep pan on medium with enough oil to deep fry the meatballs.

(Panaskan sebuah penggorengan dengan api medium, tuang cukup banyak minyak untuk menggoreng bola daging)

4. Place the almond flakes on a plate. Coat one meatball with beaten egg, drop the excess egg wash, and directly roll it on the almond flakes. Fry the meatball in the pan. Take another ball and repeat the process. Deep fry for about 7-8 minutes or until the meat cooked.

(Letakkan irisan almond pada sebuah piring. Lapisi satu buah bola daging dengan telur kocok, teteskan telur yang berlebih dan segera gulingkan di irisan almond. Goreng dalam penggorengan. Ambil satu lagi bola daging dan ulangi proses pelapisan. Goreng selama 7-8 menit atau hingga daging matang.)

5. Take the balls out of the pan and drain the excess oil in a sieve. Serve warm.

(Keluarkan bola daging dari penggorengan dan tiriskan minyaknya. Sajikan segera.)
