Salt Chicken Roast “Ayam Panggang Garam”(Bilingual Eng-Indo)

Sometimes mommy gets lazy to prepare dinner. But no worries, this recipe is one of the saviors in moody lazy time. Simply oven roasted chicken, spiced with lemon juice and salt. The juicy savory chicken tells no tales, serves you soft, true and honest taste. Best served with potatoes or steam rice, well.. your fave chili sauce will do too.

(Teman-teman, ada kalanya malas masak, tapi pengen makan yang enak. Nah biasanya aku suka main lempar daging aja ke oven kalo capek atau lagi malas masak. Enak bisa ditinggal nonton TV atau ngurus anak. Ini aku share resep ayam panggang yang cuma dibumbui garam aja (balada abis liat film KungFu yang banyak adegan makan ayam panggang bumbu garam doang..). Ternyata wangi dan natural rasanya, boleh juga dicocol saus sambal kesayangan. Ada beberapa tips dan trick untuk masak ayam garam ini, yuk cobain!)

Salt Chicken Roast

Ingredients:

– 1 kg of chicken –> cut medium (ayam –> potong medium (jangan terlalu kecil))

– 2 tablespoon of lemon juice from fresh lemon (perasan jeruk lemon)

– 3 cloves of garlic –> bashed (bawang putih –> digeprek)

– 1 teaspoon of salt (garam)

– 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil (minyak sayur)

Steps:

1. In large casserole, put in the cut chicken, pour in lemon juice and salt. Rub well onto the surface of the flesh too. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.

(Pada sebuah pinggan besar, masukkan potongan ayam, tuangi perasan lemon dan garam. Lumuri ayam dengan merata hingga ke bagian permukaan daging dibawah kulit. Tutup dengan plastic wrap dan diamkan dalam lemari es (bukan freezer) selama 1 jam)

2. Preheat your oven to 180 C.

(Panaskan oven hingga 180 C.)

3. Heat a frying pan on high, pour in the vegetable oil and saute the garlic until fragrant. Turn off the heat and get the oil.

(Panaskan sebuah wajan dengan api besar, tuang dengan minyak sayur dan tumis bawang putih hingga harum. Matikan api dan ambil minyak nya.)

4. Take the chicken out and slightly tap the surface of it evenly using kitchen towel/ paper towel to dry. Rub all of the surface of the chicken with garlic scented vegetable oil. Place the chicken on wire rack and roast in the oven for 45-60 minutes or until golden brown. Take the chicken out the oven and place them in a plate. Serve hot!

(Keluarkan ayam dan perlahan lap seluruh permukaannya dengan lap kering bersih/ tissue dapur. Lumuri seluruh permukaan ayam dengan minyak aroma bawang. Letakkan ayam pada rak pemanggang dan panggang selama 45-60 menit tergantung ukuran ayam atau hingga coklat keemasan. Keluarkan ayam dari oven dan pindahkan ke sebuah piring. Sajikan panas!)
