Pork Jerky “Dendeng Babi” (Bilingual Eng-Indo)

Making one of hubby’s fave while in Singapore, pork jerky. Here is my simple recipe, always use simple spices yet very yummy. I don’t have a charcoal pit yet I used my grill pan to finish cooking this jerky. Here we go!

(Teman-teman ini aku share resep untuk bikin Bah Kwa atau dendeng babi yang biasa di jual di Singapore. Aku nggak punya Charcoal pit (pemanggang pake arang), jadi aku pan grill aja di Teflon setelah matang. Yuk, cobain!)

Pork Jerky "Dendeng Babi"

Ingredients:

–  500 grams ground pork (daging babi giling)

– 2 tablespoon of soy sauce (kecap asin)

– 1/2 tablespoon of oyster sauce (saus tiram)

– 1/2 cup of sugar (gula pasir)

– 1/8 tablespoon of 5 spice powder (bubuk Ngohiong)

– 1/2 teaspoon of ground white pepper (bubuk merica putih)

– 1/2 tablespoon of garlic powder (bubuk bawang putih)

– some honey (madu)

Steps:

1. Lay baking paper on your baking tray.

(Lapisi baking tray dengan baking paper)

2. In a bowl, mix all of the ingredientsand put it on the baking tray, spread carefully and evenly for about 1/2 cm on height.

(Pada sebuah mangkuk, campur semua bahan dan letakkan di atas baking tray yang telah dilapisi baking paper, ratakan mendatar dengan tinggi 1/2 cm)

3. Rest it for 1 hour on room temperature.

(Biarkan meresap selama 1 jam didalam suhu ruang.)

4. Preheat the oven to 180 C.

(Panaskan oven hingga 180 C.)

5. Bake the meat layer for 20-30 minutes. Take out the oven and cut onto 8.

(Panggang dalam oven selama 20-30 menit. Keluarkan dari oven dan potong menjadi 8.)

6. Preheat grill pan on high and grill the meat layer one by one, brush each surface with honey and grill about 1-2 minutes each side or until it’s char a bit. Place the jerky on a plate and ready to be served.

(Panaskan panci/ Teflon/ grill pan dengan api besar dan panggang lapisan daging yang telah dipotong satu persatu, lumuri dengan madu di masing masing sisi, panggang selama 1-2 menit setiap sisi atau hingga muncul sedikit bintik bintik gosong pada dendeng. Angkat dari panci dan letakkan pada piring, Siap disajikan panas. )
