Minute Steak (Bilingual-Eng-Indo)

This is a recipe for the dust and the way to cook the Steak in minutes. It’s very simple and gives you honest homecooking taste. Try to choose the best steak cut for the steak. I am using pork here, but feel free to use beef if you want. Give it a try then!

(Teman-teman, ini aku share resep Minute Steak yang biasa aku bikin dirumah, basically ini steak rumahan dengan rasa yang nggak ektrem namun nikmat dan bisa dibikin kapan saja. Cara buat nya gampang dan tergolong cepat. Gunakan selalu daging steak yang baik, memiliki lemak di dagingnya. Yuk, masak bareng-bareng!)

Minute Steak

Ingredients: (Serving 2 portion – untuk 2 porsi)

– 300 gram of beef/pork tenderloin/ steak cut –> cut onto 2 (daging sapi/babi tenderloin berlemak untuk steak–> iris menjadi 2 bagian sama)

– fresh lettuce (sayur selada segar)

– stick cut carrot (wortel dipotong korek api)

For the Sauce (Untuk sausnya):

* 200 ml of hot water (air panas)

* 1 medium tomato (tomat buah segar)

* 1 tbs of butter (butter)

* 2 tbs of all purpose flour (tepung terigu)

* 50 grams of champignon mushroom (jamur champignon kalengan)

* 50 grams of Cheddar cheese (keju Cheddar parut)

* salt and black pepper (garam dan merica hitam bubuk)

For the Seasoning Dust (Untuk bubuk perasa daging):

  • teaspoons salt (garam)
  • teaspoons paprika powder (bubuk paprika merah)
  • teaspoons black pepper powder (bubuk merica hiram)
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder (bubuk bawang bombay)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (bubuk bawang putih)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper powder (bubuk cabe merah besar)

– For the Mashed Potato:

* 4 medium potatoes (kentang segar ukuran medium)

* 1 tbs of butter (butter)

* 1 tbs of heavy cream (cream cair)

* salt and black pepper powder (garam dan bubuk merica hitam)

Steps:

1. Poke the meat evenly using fork, then mix the steak dust all together in a small bowl, sprinkle generously on each surface of the meat (You don’t have to sprinkle all of the dust, you can keep the rest of the dust in a salt/ pepper bottle). Fridge the meat for 1 hour.

(Tusuk-tusuk daging dengan menggunakan garpu secara merata. Campur semua bahan untuk bubuk perasa daging dalam sebuah mangkuk kecil. Taburkan merata bubuk perasa pada daging (tidak perlu semuanya ditaburkan, sesuai selera saja, sisanya bisa disimpan dalam botol garam/lada). Simpan daging dalam lemari es selama 1 jam.)

2. Make the mashed potato: Cut and boil the potato until they are soft. Then, strain them off the water. Place in a large bowl, mash evenly and put in the butter.  Mix the butter and potato evenly. Put in heavy cream and mix. Put in salt and pepper due to your flavor, mix again. Place in a warm place until you ready to serve the dish.

(Membuat Kentang Tumbuk: Potong-Potong dan rebus kentang dalam air mendidih hingga matang dan empuk. Saring airnya dan letakkan kentang dalam sebuah mangkuk besar, lalu mulai tumbuk hingga halus benar. Masukkan butter dan aduk rata. Masukkan cream cair dan aduk rata. Masukkan garam dam merica hitam bubuk sesuai selera, aduk rata. Simpan kentang tumbuk di tempat hangat tertutup hingga siap digunakan.)

3.  Make the sauce: In a sauce pan, melt the butter, put in the flour and mix evenly until form dough, keep on stirring the dough for about 1 minute. Pour in the hot water and mix well until there are no more lumps. Season with salt and black pepper. Grate the cheese and put in the hot sauce. Mix well until the cheese melt. Cut the tomato and put in the sauce as well, cook for 2 minutes until soft. Take the pan out of the heat and blend the sauce using blender/ hand blender. Put the pan back to the heat and put in the sliced mushroom, cook for another 5-10 minutes until the mushroom soft while keep on stirring.

(Buat sausnya: Lelehkan butter pada sebuah panci kecil dan masukkan tepung terigu jika butter sudah leleh. Aduk rata membentuk adonan dan tetap aduk adonan dalam panci selama 1 menit. Tuang air panas dan aduk rata hingga semua gumpalan adonan hilang. Masukkangaram dan merica hitam bubuk secukupnya. Parut keju dan masukkan kedalam saus sambil terus diaduk rata hingga keju meleleh. Potong tomat dan masukkan ke dalam saus, masak sambil diaduk selama 2 menit hingga tomat empuk. Angkat panci dari api dan blender halus saus dengan menggunakan belnder atau handblender. Naikkan panci keatas api dan masukkan isiran jamur kedalam saus. Masak lagi hingga matang selama 5-10 menit sambil terus diaduk.)

4. Pan grill the steak: Heat your non stick pan in medium dan melt 1 tablespoon on butter. Take the meat out of the fridge and place them slowly on the pan. Cook evenly on each surface according to your fave style : rare, medium rare, medium, medium well or well done. Set aside.

(Membakar Steak: Panaskan wajan anti lengket di api medium dam lelehkan 1 sendok makan butter. Keluarkan daging dari dalam lemari es dan letakkan diatas wajan, masak perlahan hingga mencapai level kematangan favoritmu: rare, medium rare, medium, medium well, atau well done –> selalu well done untuk daging babi ya! Sisihkan.)

5. Prepare the veggies: Boil the cut carrot and strain dry. Wash the fresh lettuce and pad dry with paper kitchen towel.

(Siapkan sayurannya: Rebus potongan wortel dan tiriskan. Cuci bersih selada segar dan keringkan dengan lap dapur bersih.)

6. Serve the Steak: In a large plate, place in the veggies and mashed potato. Put on the Steak and pour generously with the sauce. Serve warm!

(Menyajikan Steak: pada sebuah piring besar, letakkan sayur dan kentang tumbuk. Letakkan pula daging steak dan tuang dengan saus sesuka hati. Sajikan hangat!!)
