Cream Puff (Bilingual-Eng-Indo)

One of very easy dessert to make, Cream Puff, made this bites fresh from scratch at home. Here is the recipe!

(Teman-teman ini aku share resep bikin Cream Puff di rumah. Resep gampang dan anti gagal, diisi cream segar yang rasanya nggak seberapa manis. Yuk, bikin bareng-bareng!)

Ingredients: (for 20 small puffs)

Choux (Puffs-nya):

– 1/2 cup of butter (butter)

– 1 cup of warm water (air hangat kuku)

– 1 teaspoon of sugar (gula pasir)

– 1/4 teaspoon of salt (garam)

– 1 cup of flour (tepung terigu)

– 4 eggs (telur ayam)

Cream (Creamnya):

– 400 grams of fresh whipped cream/ double cream (krim cair)

– 4 tablespoon of powdered sugar (gula putih halus/ bubuk)

Brush (Olesannya) :

2 egg

Steps:

1. Preheat your pan to 200 C.

(Panaskan oven hingga 200 C.)

2. Preheat non stick sauce pan on medium and pour in the water and butter, bring to boil while stirring constantly. Take the pan off the heat.

(Panaskan panci anti lengket kecil dengan api medium dan tuangkan air hangat dan butter, masak hingga mulai mendidih sambil terus diaduk. Angkat panci dari api.)

3. Directly pour in the sugar and salt and stir for 1 minute. Pour in the flour into the butter water mix and stir well. Put the pan back to the heat and keep stirring the dough for 2 minutes. Take if off the heat.

(Langsung tuangkan gula dan garam dalam cairan dan aduk selama 1 menit saja. Tuangkan tepung kedalamnya dan aduk rata. Naikkan panci ke atas wajan kembali dan aduk aduk selama 2 menit. Matikan api.)

4. Beat the eggs slightly and when the dough is not too hot anymore, pour in the egg and mix well with hand mixer on medium until fully combined.

(Kocok lepas telur perlahan dan ketika adonan tidak lagi terlalu panas, tuangkan kocokan telur kedalamnya dan aduk rata dengan mixer kecepatan medium hingga rata.)

5. Prepare the piping bag (or you can use plastic bag or ziploc bag instead) and use plain nozzle. Put in the dough and start to pipe the dough on baking pan lined with baking paper. Pipe the dough with 3 cm on diameter. Give some space since the dough will rise bigger in the oven.

(Siapkan kantong penyemprot, bisa juga gunakan Ziploc bag biasa yang dipotong ujungnya, gunakan spuit polos. Masukkan adonan dalam kantong dan semprot adonan membentuk bulatan diameter 3 cm diatas baking tray yang sudah dialasi kertas baking. Beri sedikit ruang diantara adonan, karena adonan mengembang ketika dipanggang.)

6. Beat 2 eggs and slightly brush the dough with egg evenly.

(Kocok lepas dua butir telur dan perlahan sapukan merata diatas masing-masing adonan yang telah disemprot.)

7. Bake the dough in the middle rack for 15 minutes. The turn down the temperature to 180 C and bake the dough for another 30 minutes.

(Panggang adonan di rak tengah oven selama 15 menit. Turunkan suhu oven ke 180 C dan panggang kembali adonan selama 30 menit.)

8. If you find the inner of the puff still bit wet, slice the puff bit and put back in the oven, turn off the oven and let the door ajar for 30 minutes. Take the puffs out the oven and let cool completely.

(Jika bagian dalam puff sedikit basah setelah proses panggang, iris puff  di bagian perut dan masukkan kembali kedalam oven, matikan oven dan buka pintunya sedikit selama 30 menit. Keluarkan puffs dari oven dan biarkan mendingin sempurna.)

9. Prepare the cream: beat the fresh whipped cream until it forms peak, put in the sugar and mix well. Place the whipped cream in the piping bag and pipe the cream in the puff the amount you like. Sprinkle the top of the puff with powdered sugar. Done!

(Membuat cream: kocok cream cair hingga kaku, masukkan gula putih halus dan aduk rata sebentar saja. Siapkan kantong penyemprot dan masukkan cream kedalam kantong, semprot cream kedalam puff sebanyak yang dikehendaki. Taburi bagian atas puff dengan gula halus. Selesai!)
