Sweet Soy Sauce Roasted Chicken (“Ayam Panggang Kecap”) (Bilingual Eng-Indo)

Sweet soy sauce is one of Indonesian darling sauce for almost every grill and dipping dishes. It’s simply can found in Asian Mart with cheap price. In this recipe I found the soy sauce may not be major but it is the important element to produce darker color for the chicken. Try it soon!

(Teman-teman ini aku share resep ayam panggang bumbu kecap yang biasa aku bikin di rumah, rasanya agak sedikit pedes manis, karena memang sekeluarga doyan pedes. Pokoknya yahud dimakan bareng nasi hangat bahkan pake sambal terasi juga okeh. Yuk, cobain!)

Ingredients:

– 1 kg of chicken (1 kg) (ayam potong)

– 2 cloves of garlic –> minced (bawang putih dihaluskan)

– 2 tablespoon of sugar (gula pasir)

– 1/2 tablespoon of salt (garam)

– 1 tablespoon of cheyenne pepper (bubuk cabe merah besar)

– 1/2 tablespoon of black pepper (bubuk merica hiram)

– 2 tablespoon of chili sauce (saus sambal)

– 2 tablespoon of honey (madu)

– 2 tablespoon of sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)

Steps:

1. On your baking tray, place baking paper and put the chicken on.

(Pada pan pemanggang, letakkan kertas baking dan ayam diatasnya.)

2. Prepare the rub dust: mix together sugar, salt, cheyenne pepper, and black pepper.

(Campur bersama gula, garam, bubuk cabe merah besar, dan merica hitam)

3. Rub the whole surface of the chicken with the minced garlic and the dry rub. Keep it in the fridge for at least 1 hour.

(Ratakan bawang putih halus dan serbuk bumbu nomor 3 di seluruh permukaan ayam. Sisihkan paling tidak selama 1 jam dalam lemari es.)

4. Preheat the oven in 185 C and bake the chicken for 45-60 minutes.

(Panaskan oven hingga 185 C dan panggang ayam selama 45-60 menit.)

5. Prepare the wet sauce: mix together chili sauce, honey, and sweet soy sauce.

(Siapkan saus basah: campur bersama saus sambal, madu dan kecap manis.)

6. Take out the chicken from the oven and spread the wet sauce on the whole surface of it. Bake back in the oven for another 10 minutes. (Keluarkan ayam dari oven dan olesi seluruh permukaan nya (atas bawah) dengan saus basah nomor 6, dan panggang kembali selama 10 minutes.)

7. After 10 minutes, take the chicken out of the oven and brush with wet rub for one more time, bake for another 10 minutes. Done!

(Setelah 10 menit, keluarkan ayam dari oven dan olesi dengan bumbu basah sekali lagi, panggang kembali selama 10 menit. Selesai!)

    cara memanggang ayam dengan tips. tinggal ditutup dimasukin ke dalam 1 benda. langsung matang!!
