Baked Spanish Flan (Bilingual-Eng-Indo)

Baked or steamed, flan is one of my favorite dessert ever. However, this yummy sweet caramel custard is very easy to make. Use your blender instead of your mixer. I am using my 22 cm round cake pan for this reciepe. Then, try this recipe soon!

(Teman-teman, ini aku share resep untuk membuat Flan, sejenis puding telur custard dengan karamel diatasnya. Cara buatnya gampang, dan hanya butuh blender. Cara masaknya dipanggang di oven selama 50-60 menit. Aku pakai cetakan kue diameter 22 cm, jadi untuk kalian yang ingin menggunakan cetakan lainnya silahkan saja, jumlah cetakan menyesuaikan banyaknya adonan ya. Yuk, cobain!)

Ingredients:

For the caramel:

– 150 grams of white sugar (gula pasir)

For the Flan:

– 1 tin can of sweetened condense milk (1 kaleng susu kental manis)

– 3 cups of milk (720 ml) (susu cair)

– 5 eggs (telur ayam)

– 1 teaspoon of vanilla (vanila)

Steps:

1. Preheat the oven for 170 C.

(Panaskan oven hingga 170 C.)

2. Heat your non stick pan on medium, while putting the sugar for making caramel. Wait until the sugar began to melt and slightly tilt the pan 3 cm above the heat until all of the sugar melt to liquid and golden brown.

(Panaskan wajan anti lengket di atas api medium, dan tuang gula pasir kedalamnya. Tunggu hingga gula mulai meleleh kemudian angkat wajan 3 cm diatas api dan perlahan ayun memutar wajan hingga gula meleleh secara merata dan berwarna kecoklatan.)

3. Pour the caramel into your mould/ casserole/ pan and slightly tilt the mould until the caramel evenly cover all of the base.

(Tuangkan karamel kedalam cetakan/ casserole/ pan yang digunakan dan perlahan ayun cetakan hingga karamel merata di seluruh alas cetakan.)

4. In a blender, pour in the milk, eggs, vanilla, and condense milk. Blend on medium speed for 20 seconds or until mixed well.

(Blender susu cair, telur, vanila, dan susu kental manis dengan kecepatan medium selama 20 detik atau hingga merata.)

5. Pour in the milk and egg mix into the mould with caramel on the base.

(Tuangkan adonan susu telur ke dalam cetakan dengan karamel di alasnya.)

6. Put the mould in another bigger casserole/pan and pour in 2 cups of hot boiling water into the bigger mould/pan. This is the method to help the flan baked evenly inside the oven without burn it. Bake the flan inside the oven for 50-60 minutes.

(Letakkan cetakan dalam sebuah casserole/ pan lain dengan ukuran lebih besar dan tuangkan 2 gelas air mendidih didalam casserole/ pan yang lebih besar tadi. Ini adalah metode yang kita gunakan untuk membantu flan masak sempurna tanpa harus menjadi gosong dalam oven. Panggang flan selama 50-60 menit.)

7. Take the flan out of the oven and let it cool completely. After the flan is cool completely, use a knife/ spatula to separate the side of the flan from the mould, put a big plates (use the one which can contain the caramel syrup well) on the top of the mould and gently flip the mould up side down and take the mould away. The flan should sit on the plate well with yummy caramel syrup on the top of it slightly runs down to the plate. Cut the flan the way you like. Refrigerate well.

(Keluarkan flan dari dalam oven dan biarkan mendingin sempurna dalam cetakannya. Setelah flan dingin sempurna, gunakan sebuah pisau/ spatula untuk memisahkan bagian pinggir flan dari cetakannya, letakkan satu buah piring (pilih yang dapat menampung sirup caramelnya juga, jangan piring yang terlalu datar, nanti caramelnya tumpah.) perlahan balik cetakan sehingga piring dibawah dan pelan-pelan lepas cetakan. Flan akan berada pada piring dan sirup karamel diatasnya, sebagian mungkin mengalir turun ke piring. Potong-Potong flan sesuai selera, dan boleh disimpan di dalam lemari es.)
