Steamed Fish “Ikan Tim”(Bilingual-Eng-Indo)

This is one of my fave way to cook fish. Very easy that you can prepare it in 5 minutes. Perfect for family gathering or New Year Celebration.

 (Teman-teman, ini kau share resep Ikan Tim mudah yang biasa aku buat di rumah, cara bikinnya super gampang dan hanya butuh beberapa bahan sederhana aja. Cocok juga untuk anak kecil. Cobain yuk!)

 Steamed Fish

 Ingredients:

– 600 grams of fish (I am using medium Nile fish) (ikan nila ukuran tanggung)

– 3 tablespoon of lime juice (perasan jeruk lemon/ nipis)

– 1/4 teaspoon of salt (garam)

– pinch of pepper (merica secukupnya)

– 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce (saus tiram)

– 4 tablespoon of soy sauce (kecap asin)

– 2 red/ yellow/ green pepper (paprika merah/ kuning/ hijau)

– 2 medium tomatoes (tomat ukuran sedang)

– 1 onion (bawang bombay)

– 6 cloves of garlic (bawang putih)

– 1 carrot (wortel)

– 3 champignon mushrooms (jamur champignon kaleng/ segar)

Steps:

 1. First, you want to remove all of the scales on the fish using your knife by scrapping them. Then, wash the fish clean.

(Bersihkan sisik ikan dengan menggunakan pisau dengan cara di kerik perlahan. Kemudian cuci ikan hingga bersih.)

 2. Pour on the lemon juice all over the fish.

(Lumuri permukaan ikan dengan perasan jeruk lemon.)

 3. Sprinkle the salt and pepper evenly on the fish.

(Taburkan garam dan merica secara merata di tubuh ikan.)

4. Prepare your steamer on high medium, filled with enough water to steam it for 40 minutes. (I am using oven here, just worked the same^^, just put in the casserole covered with aluminum foil in 160 C for 40 minutes. With 2-3 cups of water in the aking tray below the casserole. )

(Siapkan dandang/ pengukus diatas api medium, isi dengan air secukupnya untuk men-tim ikan selama 40 menit. )

5. In your casserole, lay in mushrooms and carrots. Followed with the fish, onion, garlic, tomatoes and peppers.

(Pada sebuah wadah kaca, letakkan jamur dan wortel didasar, diikuti dengan ikan, bawang bombay, bawang putih, tomat, dan paprika.)

6. Mix together the soy sauce and oyster sauce in a small cup. Pour the sauce on the fish.

(Campur bersama kecap asin dan saus tiram dalam sebuah cangkir kecil. Tuangkan diatas ikan.)

 7. Steam the fish for 40 minutes. Done!

(Tim ikan selama 40 menit. Selesai!)
