Cheese Meatball Soup “Bakso Keju” (Bilingual-Eng-Indo)

Here is another way to enjoy meatballs soup during wet cold season. Make this Cheese Meatballs Soup at home and got addicted too. The soft and bouncy meatballs with block of cheese inside, served with hot clear broth soup. Fell free to add more things, like glass noodle, leek, and fried onions too. Here we go!

Nyook, bikin sekarang…)

 Cheese Meatballs Soup (

Ingredients:

– 250 grams of ground beef (daging sapi giling segar)

– 1 large egg (telur ayam)

– 3 tablespoon of bread crumbs (tepung panir/tepung roti)

– 2 tablespoon of corn/potato starch (tepung maizena)

– 1/2 teaspoon of salt (garam)

– 1/4 teaspoon of pepper (merica bubuk)

– 1 tablespoon of garlic powder (bubuk bawang putih)

– 100 grams of glass noodles (suun/ sohun)

– 2 cloves of garlic –> bashed (2 buah bawang putih dikeprek)

– 1/2 tablespoon of salt (garam)

– 1/4 teaspoon of pepper (merica bubuk)

– 100 grams of Cheese (I am using Gouda here) (keju favoritmu)

– Some leek  –> cut onto small (daun bawang secukupnya)

– Some fried/ roasted onions (bawang goreng secukupnya)

Steps:

 1. Preheat one medium pot with 3 liters of water inside. Just keep it shimmer, not boiled.

(Panaskan panci ukuran sedang dengan diisi 3 liter air didalamnya, jangan biarkan mendidih, cukup panas saja.)

2. Mix together the all of the ingredients in a big bowl. Meanwhile, cut the cheese onto small dice.

(Campur bersama seluruh bahan dalam sebuah mangkuk besar. Sementara itu, potong-potong keju menjadi dadu kecil.)

 3. Knead and push the beef mix with your hand through your fingers for 5 minutes, until the beef looks bit pale.)

4. Begin to form the meatballs by using both of your hand, take one tablespoon of beef mix and make circular move to form ball.

5. Now, press the ball using two hands to make flat circle shape and put the cheese on it, seal it thight and round it onto ball again.

 6. Put in the meatballs slowly into shimmering water (NOT BOILING) and wait until the meatballs float on the surface of the water.

6. Meanwhile, make the soup by putting 2 cloves of garlic, 1/2 tablespoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of pepper into the water.

 7. Turn on the heat to boil the soup, when all of the meatball float. Let it boil for another 7-8 minutes.

Biarkan sup mendidih selama 7-8 menit.)

 8. Take the meatballs out of the soup and put them in a clean bowl, closed with lid.

 9. In a large bowl with 1 liter of warm water, put in the glass noodles. Set aside for 30 minutes.

10. Serve the meatball by putting meatballs, some glass noodles, leek and fried onions, pured with some hot soup. Serve hot!!

(Sajikan bakso bersama suun/ sohun, daun bawang dan bawang goreng disiram sup nya yang panas. Sajikan panas-panas!)
