Shepherd Pie (“Pastel Tutup Kentang”) (Bilingual-Eng-Indo)

Today I made this creamy Shepherd Pie/ Cottage Pie contains of: Thuringer pork sausage (unusual but really good), potato, carrots, mushrooms, glass noodles and tomato. The taste of the pie is really creamy and delight! Here is the way I made my creamy Shepherd Pie..

(Teman-teman, ini aku share resep Pastel Tutup Kentang yang rasanya super creamy, kaya rasa kejunya dan yang pasti hasilnya cantik banget. Cocok buat yang pengen bisnis Pastel Tutup rumahan. Bisa disajikan buat snack juga. Daging yang digunakan juga boleh diganti-ganti sesuai selera (dan sesuai isi kulkas aja…hehe). Yuk, bikin rame-rame!)

Ingredients:

– 4 large potatoes (kentang ukuran besar)

– 150 grams of Cheddar cheese -grated (keju Cheddar parut)

– 500 grams of meat (beef/ pork, sausage, up to you) (Daging pilihanmu: ayam/ sapi/ babi/ sosis, dll)

– 50 grams of Champignon mushrooms (jamur Champignon kalengan/ segar)

– 2 medium tomatoes (tomat ukuran sedang)

– 3 medium carrots -cut/grated (wortel ukuran sedang-diparut/potong kecil)

– 1 large onion (bawang bombay)

– 150 grams of heavy cream/ milk (heavy cream atau bisa diganti susu cair biasa)

– 100 grams of glass noodles (suun/sohun)

– 1/4 teaspoon of salt (garam)

– 1 tablespoon of sugar (gula)

– 1/8 teaspoon of black pepper (merica bubuk)

Steps:

1. Cut the onion, carrots, tomato, mushrooms, meat, and potato onto small pieces.

(Potong-potong bawang bombay, wortel, tomat, jamur, daging, dan kentang menjadi kecil-kecil.)

2. Boil a lot of water in a pot to boil the potato. Boil them until soft and tender. Sift the water from the potato and mix the potato with Cheddar cheese, mash them at once to make mashed potato cheese.

(Rebus air yang agak banyak dalam panci dan rebus kentang hingga matang dan empuk betul. Tiriskan dan campur dengan keju Cheddar parut, hancurkan hingga keduanya lembut.)

3. Pour some vegetable oil into a pan and cook the onion until they are soft for about 4 minutes, put in the meat and stir well.

(Tuang minyak sayur/ goreng secukupnya di dalam wajan dan tumis bawang bombay hingga lembut selama 4 menit, masukkan daging dan aduk rata.)

4. Put in the tomatoes, carrots, and mushroom into the pan and cook well for another 5 minutes.

(Masukkan potongan tomat, wortel, dan jamur kedalam wajan dan masak selama 5 menit.)

5. Pour in the heavy cream, salt and pepper into the pan and stir well.

(Tuang heavy cream/ susu cair, garam, dan bubuk merica kedalam wajan dan aduk rata.)

6. Then, put in the glass noodles and cook for another 5 minutes.

(Masukkan suun/ sohun dalam wajan dan masak selama 5 menit.)

7. Preheat your oven to 356 F (180 C).

(Panaskan oven hingga 180 C .)

8. Prepare 2 baking papers/ plastic sheets and put all of the potato between the sheets. Press slowly to form equal thick potato layer as big as the size f your casserole.

(Siapkan 2 lembar kertas baking/ lembar plastik bersih, letakkan semua kentang tumbuk diantara kedua lembaran. Tekan melebar hingga kentang memiliki ketebalan sama dan ukuran sesuai mulut casserole/ pinggan yang digunakan.)

9. Place all of the veggies and glass noodles into the casserole. Peel the top sheet on the potato layer, put the potato upside down onto the top of the veggies. Peel off the last baking/ plastic sheet.

(Masukkan seluruh tumis sayur dan suun dalam pinggan. Kupas lembar kertas/ plastic di atas kentang, dan perlahan balik dan tempelkan kentang di permukaan tumis sayur suun/sohun. Kupas lembar/ plastic sisanya.)

10. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes.

(Panggang di oven selama 30 menit.)

11. Take the Pie oout of the oven and wait for 15 minutes before serving. Cut it the size you want. Yumm!

(Keluarkan pastel tutup dari oven dan diamkan 15 menit sebelum disajikan. Potong sesuai selera)
