How to make Easy Chicken Cordon Bleu (Bilingual-Eng-Indo)

Instead of putting the chicken into the oven, I deep fried them to add more color and crunch. This France darling dish was so nice and addicting. I didn’t roll them but only attach them simply and only use Cheddar cheese instead of Swiss. And this is how I made them. Here we go..!

(Teman-teman ini aku share resep Chicken Cordon Bleu yang gampang bikinnya, rasanya yahud dan pasti ngangenin. Aku nggak bikin modelnya jadi roll gitu, cuman langsung aku bentuk amplop biasa, juga nggak pake keju Swiss hanya pake keju untuk toast. Yuk, masak masakan Perancis yang satu ini!)

Homemade Easy Chicken Cordon Bleu

Ingredients:

– 4 Cheddar cheese sheets (keju Cheddar lembaran)

– 4 Ham (ham: kalo nggak punya, boleh diganti kornet atau Ma Ling kalengan)

– salt (garam)

– pepper (merica bubuk)

– 2 eggs (telur ayam)

– 100 grams of bread crumbs (tepung panir/ tepung roti)

– 80 grams of all purpose flour (tepung terigu)

– oil for frying (minyak untuk menggoreng)

I am serving this dish with homemade potato fries. I used 4 large potatoes for this.

(Aku sajikan masakan ini dengan kentang goreng rumahan, pake 4 kentang besar.)

Steps:

1. Peel, wash and cut the potatoes onto long stick shapes.

(Kupas, cuci, dan potong-potong kentang memanjang seperti korek api tebal.)

2. In a large bowl, dip the cut potatoes in cool water for 15 minutes.

(Dalam sebuah mangkuk besar, rendam potongan kentang dalam air dingin selama 15 menit.)

3. Take the potato out of the water and place them on a clean kitchen towel. Pat them dry with another clean kitchen towel.

(Keluarkan kentang dari dalam air dan letakkan di atas sebuah lap bersih. Tepuk-tepuk permukaan kentang dengan menggunakan satu lap bersih lainnya.)

4. In a frying pan, pour enough oil to fry the potatoes. Put in the potatoes when the oil is hot enough. Fry until they are golden brown.

(Di sebuah penggorengan, tuang cukup minyak untuk menggoreng kentang. Masukkan kentang jika minyak telah cukup panas. Goreng hingga kecoklatan.)

5. Take the potatoes out of the oil. Sift the excess oil from the potatoes by putting them in a sieve.

(Keluarkan kentang dari dalam minyak. Tiriskan minyaknya dengan meletakkan kentang di saringan.)

6. On your chopping board, slice the breast into 4 equal pieces. Slice each of the pieces and open up the breast wide.

(Pada sebuah telenan, iris dada ayam menjadi 4 bagian. Iris lagi masing-masing bagian dan buka melebar permukaan ayam.)

7. Using tenderizer/ rolling pin, beat each piece of the chicken breast until they are app. 1/2 cm thick. Season the chicken with salt and pepper.

(Dengan menggunakan pemukul daging/ penggilas adonan, pukul-pukul daing ayam hingga tebalnya kurang lebih 0,5 cm. Taburi dengan garam dan merica bubuk secukupnya.)

8. Place one ham and cheese on one half side of the chicken breast. Fold the breast closed with another half side.

(Letakkan satu ham dan keju di separuh sisi ayam. Lipat sisi satunya dan tutup rapat.)

9. Heat frying pan filled with enough oil to fry the chicken.

(Panaskan penggorengan dengan minyak cukup banyak untuk menggoreng ayam.)

10. Prepare one plate filled with beaten eggs, one with all purpose flour, and one with bread crumbs.

(Siapkan satu piring diisi dengan telur ayam dikocok lepas, satu piring dengan tepung terigu, dan satu piring berisi tepung panir/ roti.)

11. Slowly dredge the chicken on all purpose four.

(Perlahan balurkan ayam di atas tepung terigu.)

12. Dip the floured chicken in the eggs.

(Celupkan ayam yang bertepung di dalam telur kocok.)

13. Roll the chicken on the bread crumbs. Pat the excess crumbs off the chicken.

(Gulingkan ayam di atas tepung panir/roti.)

14. Fry the chicken in the oil until it’s golden brown. Drip the excess oil by putting the chicken in a sieve. Serve the Chicken with Potato fries and your fave mayo or garlic sauce. Enjoy!

(Goreng ayam dalam minyak panas hingga kecoklatan, tiriskan minyaknya denga meletakkan ayam di dalam saringan. Sajikan ayam dengan kentang goreng dan saus mayones/ saus pilihanmu. Selamat menikmati!)
