How to make Easy One Layer Chocolate Cake (Bilingual-Eng-Indo)

Who doesn’t love chocolate cake. One slice of it can easily mend any hard time and feeling. Why should make it out from mix box if you can make it yourself from scratch. Here I share you the recipe for making One Layer Chocolate Cake.

(Temen-temen, ini aku sharing resep bikin Kua Coklat Satu lapis (biasanya resep dibuat untuk dua lapis atau bahkan tiga), cocok untuk dilapis pudding, jelly, cream tebal lagi diatasnya.Bikin rame-rame yuk!)

Ingredients:

– 1 cup of sugar (190 grams) (gula pasir)

– 3/4 cup of all purpose flour (93 grams) (tepung terigu)

– 1/2 cup of cocoa powder (55 grams) (coklat bubuk)

– 3/4 teaspoons of baking powder (2,8 grams)

– 3/4 teaspoons of baking soda (3,2 grams) (soda kue)

– 1/2 teaspoons of salt (garam)

– 1 large egg (telur)

– 1/2 cup of milk (118 ml) (susu)

– 1/4 cup of vegetable oil (minyak sayur)

– 1 teaspoon of vanilla

– 1/2 cup of boiling water (118 ml) (air mendidih)

Steps:

1.Preheat your oven to 350 F (180 C).

(Panaskan oven hingga 180 C)

2. Butter and flour your cake pan.

(Lapisi cetakan cake dengan mentega dan taburi merata dengan tepung terigu)

3. Beat the egg and cream it together with sugar in a large bowl.

(Kocok telur dan gula hingga lembut dalam sebuah mangkuk besar)

4. Pour in milk and vegetable oil, mix well.

(Tuangkan kedalamnya susu dan minyak sayur, aduk rata)

5. Shift in the flour and cocoa powder, mix well.

(Saring bersama tepung terigu dan bubuk coklat ke dalam mangkuk berisi campuran telur gula)

6. Run the mixer on low while pouring hot boiling water in the mix.

(Jalankan mixer dalam kecepatan rendah sambil menuang air endidih sedikit demi sedikit ke dalam adonan)

7. Put in together baking powder, baking soda, salt, and vanilla. Mix on high for only 10 seconds.

(Masukkan bersama baking powder, soda kue, garam dan vanilla dan aduk dengan kecepatan tinggi selama 10 detik saja)

8. Pour the batter into the buttered and floured cake pan. Bang it on flat surface for 3 times to remove the air bubbles inside.

(Tuangkan adonan ke dalam cetakan cake. Banting pelan cetakan berisi adonan ke permukaan rata (meja) sebanyak 3 kali untuk menghilangkan gelembung udara yang terperangkap di dalamnya)

9. Bake the batter in the oven for about 30-35 minutes, until skewer/fork comes out clean when you prick it to the cake.

(Panggang adonan dalam oven selama 30-35 menit hingga ketika kue ditusuk dengan tusuk sate/ gigi tidak meninggalkan bekas adonan)

10. Let the cake rest inside the pan for 10 minutes, then slightly take the cake out of the pan and let it cool completely on a cooling rack. Done!

(Biarkan kue yang telah matang didalam cetakan selama 10 menit, keluarkan kue dari dalam cetakan dan dinginkan hingga menyeluruh. Kue siap untuk dihias!)
